PlayStation is a gaming console that most of us that are reading this article must be a fan of and you must be interested in the next PlayStation that is going to be released in the near future. Today, I have some good news for PlayStation fans. That is, there is some new information about the upcoming PlayStation 5 which everyone is excited about. The new PlayStation might be right around the corner and we are getting close to it's release day by day. Now, let us talk about everything that we have heard about the upcoming PlayStation from reliable sources.
PlayStation 5 leaks and rumors:
According to many reliable websites/articles on the internet, an announcement will be given by Sony on the 12th of February 2020. They are going to showcase their new upcoming gaming console everyone's favorite PlayStation. It is not yet confirmed if it is going to be called PlayStation 5. We will have to wait and find out, but there is some exciting news that have already been published about the upcoming PlayStation and I would like to share them with you.
Design and Body:
As you can probably see, there are lot of pictures on the internet. Remember even if they are the real pictures of the upcoming PlayStation dev kit then you should know what a dev kit is if you already do not. Dev kits are just for testing purposes. They have never looked like the original playstation that is released for the public. This was never the case for the playstation so you can rest assured that whatever pictures you see on the internet, the upcoming playstation will look nothing like that which means currently there is no leaks of the upcoming playstation pictures, videos or anything like that. Release Date:
It is already announced that it will be released next year, but not before may, according to Sony. It can be released before the winter holiday. Since there is a lot of PlayStation 4's still being sold only time will tell us when Sony is going to release their next PlayStation. We will have to wait and see.
Update: It is already confirmed by Sony now that the upcoming playstation is going to be released in Holiday, 2020.
Price:
This is something that everyone wants to know about. How much is the upcoming playstation going to cost? The price is most likely going to be about the same as PS3 when it first launched, but Sony has confirmed that the price will be not too high so, rest assured that it is not going to be too high as some are concerned. The price is expected to be reasonable and affordable.
Hardware:
The upcoming PlayStation is already known to perform a lot better than the playstation 4 and playstation 4 pro. A dev kit of the upcoming playstation 5 is able to load the Marvel's Spider-Man game in only 0.8 seconds when the ps4 pro takes almost 8 seconds for the game to load as you can see in this youtube video. Now, you can already tell how well this upcoming playstation is made. The CPU of the upcoming playstation will be based on AMD Ryzen 8 - core while the GPU will be custom radeon navi. This playstation is going to be capable of running next gen games so it is expected to perform really well.
Backwards Compatibility:
Yes, you guessed it right! PS5 is going to have backwards compatibility. It has already been confirmed by Sony. Which means, you will be able to play PS4 games on your PS5, which is an amazing news! The last PlayStation that had backwards compatibility was PS3. It will be nice to see this amazing feature again in the next PlayStation. You will also be able to play the games online with your friends, which means let us say that you have a friend who has a playstation 4. He will be able to play online with you without any issues.
PlayStation 5 Games:
Some game publishers, developers are already working on making exclusive games for this console, which are going probably going to be demoed by Sony on the 12th February 2020. These games are surely going to be next gen games with high graphics, which we should be excited about. There is already a lot of games that were released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and they are also going to run on PlayStation 5. One of the games that is confirmed for the playstation 5 is Cyberpunk 2077. We can also expect the next GTA game to be released for the upcoming playstation as well. There is going to be a lot of next gen video games to play for the next PlayStation.
